OOTD: “Ashley Stewart’s Criss-Cross Maxi Dress”
I had some client meetings then errands to run today so I decided to bring out this yellow number that I’ve had in my closet for over a month now. It’s an Ashley Stewart yellow jersey maxi that I fell in love with in the store one day. I have to be honest, it only caught my attention because it was on one of those one-day sales or something. It had only been in the store for a week and the original priced tag said $49.99 but it went on sale for $15 the day I happened to be in store. So you know I wasn’t gonna complain. I for one don’t like to iron and that’s why I stay away from certain materials. I knew off hand this dress would be a material that would easily wrinkle but I took a chance anyway.
Well after hanging up for so long in my room, the wrinkles finally fell out so today I decided to wear it. It was really comfy. My only complaint is that this dress really clings to you so I had to wear a spanx and it was 98 degrees today, yeah, you do the math, lol. But as I always preach, us curvy ladies have to “hold it together” with certain materials and outfits so I sacrificed. As for my accessories I dug deep in the handbag stash and pulled out an “attention grabber” Betsey Johnson (Betsyville) bag I purchased a few years ago. I didn’t feel like wearing high heels so I kept it cute and low with my Coach jelly sandals from summer 2007. I’m glad they were still stylish and wearable. Ok, enough talking here’s the ensemble:
