The Plus Academy is the nation’s first model training, development, and curvy lifestyle program, exclusively for plus size women. Originally based in New York City, we are proud to announce the expansion of the program to include several major cities in the nation, including Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Baltimore, MD, San Francisco (Bay Area) , Indianapolis, Indiana, and Detroit, Michigan, Charlotte, NC, Nassau Bahamas, New Mexico & Dallas, TX.
Since 1999, The Plus Academy has provided unsurpassed training and guidance, helping to launch the successful careers of aspiring plus models, many of whom have appeared in print ads, runway showcases, television programs, online magazines, designer showcases and pageants. We also offer a variety of personal development and lifestyle workshops for plus size women and pre-teenagers.
Our classes are taught by a team of recognizable professionals who are experienced in the plus modeling industry, and in conducting workshops associated with lifestyle issues affecting plus size women and teens. Our classes are affordable and are conveniently held on the weekends.

Chandra Douglas, Owner of Chandelier Productions , an event planning service in Dallas and Co-Owner and inspiration behind her new venture “Virgo Eyes”. A local organization that will empower women of the plus community to see beyond their curves and to encourage them to dream bigger and not let size determine their destiny.
Since 2007, Chandra has been a financial planner & controller in the corporate environment. An aspiring plus model herself, she has been able to bring her finance skills and modeling experience to many of her business ventures and now as the new director of The Plus Academy DALLAS.
