Target launches their “Harlem Designer Series” featuring Stephen Burrows


To celebrate the Target East Harlem store opening on July 25, Target partnered with “the best of Harlem” for their Harlem Designer Series. Isabel and Ruben Toledo, renowned designer Stephen Burrows, as well as chef extraordinaire, Marcus Samuelsson have created limited-time only collections that reflect and honor the spirit of Harlem while giving back to the local community.  STEPHEN BURROWS, a breakthrough African-American designer, once picked up inspiration from Halston and Warhol, hanging out at Max’s Kansas City and Studio 54. Now he’s teamed up with Target. The line shows off his signature bold colors (pictured with him from left, hand print T-shirt, $19.99, and leopard skirt, $24.99; hooded dress, $34.99; and off-shoulder dress, $34.99). Sizes will range from S-XL. The Target store, its first in Manhattan, will also have lines from Isabel and Ruben Toledo and Marcus Samuelsson.
