OOTD: The Miss Tina Peacock Ruffle Dress and Jessica Simpson “Beckery” Shoes
As I had to admit on Facebook the other day, I think I have a Jessica Simpson shoe obsession. Just when I think she can’t outdo herself, she goes and makes another over the top design. I blogged on her “Bendie” shoe last week and when I went to her website, I saw this new style called the “Beckery”. The architecture of this shoe is awesome. I knew that I probably couldn’t walk very far in these but I just had to have them just the same. They are a 2″ cutout platform with a 5-1/4″ cutout heel. But when I put them on surprisingly I was able to handle the heel, but honestly I wouldn’t try to wear them all day though. I got the “estate blue” color but they come in many different shades on the Jessica Simpson website, Dillard’s.com and on Macy’s.com. They are a whopping $100 but as I always do, I google search for a discount code before ordering ANYTHING. I lucked up and found a $10 off code for Macy’s so I used that towards my purchase. Plus great news for my larger feet ladies, these shoes go from a size 5-11. So you can be cute and fly if only for a few hours on your feet!
My dress today is by one of my favorite brands right now, Miss Tina, for Wal-Mart. I don’t know if it’s the cost or fit that keeps me coming back for more but I’m hooked on this line. I’m assuming that this new “peacock ruffle” dress is from the pre-fall Miss Tina collection since it just popped up on the website last week. I grabbed it before all the plus-sizes were gone. Her dresses used to be only $18 but have gone up 98 cents more but that’s still not a bad deal at all. I’m a fan of how she uses good quality stretch jersey fabric in her clothing and it always flatters the curvy body frame. I think I own every maxi dress in the Miss Tina collection and most of her dresses of this style that I’m wearing today. The only difference with this peacock dress is that there is a ruffle pattern going down the left side. To me that is a great camouflage for anyone who may have a few bulge problems in the stomach area. In my opinion you can never go wrong with the Miss Tina collection!
