OOTD: “Relaxing In Rachel Pally”

Today was one of those laid-back, lazy Saturdays and I just felt like being carefree. After catching up on my sleep all-day I decided to venture out to the mall late this afternoon. I wanted a carefree, relaxed outfit to wear so I opted for this long caftan by designer Rachel Pally. Rachel Pally has become a favorite among the plus-size community and she is even showcasing her collection next week at “Full Figured Fashion Week” in NYC. I initially  got introduced to her line about 4 or 5 years ago when I purchased my first caftan dress from her line at Nordstrom. Honestly, Rachel Pally was the first ever maxi dress that I owned. ALL of her pieces are made of the best materials and are super versatile and comfortable. I requested this dress back in December and was originally supposed to wear it for a TV appearance but I’m glad that I waited. Today was the perfect weather for it although I believe this dress can be worn year round. I mean really, you can travel in this dress, wear it on a date, to a wedding or it’ll be great just for a long walk on the beach in the islands. The long caftan dress by Rachel Pally is a staple for any woman’s wardrobe and NEVER goes out of style. This dress has been on the market for a few years now and is available in an assortment of colors. Plus-Size vlogger, Shanda Freeman, used to wear this exact same Rachel Pally caftan on her MTV show, “Man and Wife”. I remember saying to myself how great it looked on her. The Rachel Pally dresses are made for every body shape and size. I think that this particular one that I wore today would also look great on an expectant mother too especially if she’s showing. I wore mine two ways today to demonstrate the versatility of this dress. First, I wore a wedge sandal, animal-print hoop earrings and a printed belt with it for a more casual look. Then secondly, I added a statement necklace, gold cuff bracelet and animal-print pumps. (Now this dress is 61-inches in length and I’m about 5’9 and needed at least a 3-4 inch heel to allow for the dress not to drag the ground).
