A few years ago I got a chance to style DMV singer Gina Rose for her album cover. (Pic above). Well after a short hiatus from the independent music scene, R&B-Soul Singer and Songwriter Gina Rose is back with a postitive vengeance. Her new single, “Inside That I Cried” is a classic re-make of the hit, chart-topping 90’s song, originally done by Recording Artist CeCe Peniston. Gina Rose brings forth what many are calling “pure” strong, soulful, emotional vocals that instantly penetrate the listeners ear.  The song is produced by Terry “20” Poindexter, who has worked with the likes of Jazmine Sullivan, Raheem DeVaughn, Ginuwine, and more.

Gina Rose is a classical voice major at the University of the District of Columbia. Among many accomplishments, she has won two Independent Music Awards for ‘Best Female R&B Artist’, been recognized by Billboard for her songwriting abilities, has songs featured in independent films, and on the first two R&B mixtapes distributed by Wu-Tang Management.Gina Rose has performed on National Television, up and down the east coast, and has opened for National Recording Artists such as Marsha Ambrosious, Avant, Chuck Brown, Kindred The Family Soul, and Maysa.
