OOTD: “Take A Bow”

It’s funny how sometimes my blog posts just seem to fall into place at the right time. Earlier this week I wrote a post about the Stella McCartney ‘Lucia’ dress and the sheer mesh polka dot trend. Low and behold as I was planning my outfit for today I realized I had a sheer polka dot shrug and matching skirt set just hanging up in my closet. I purchased it sometime last month when Dots had their buy one/get one free sale in their clearance section. I had been wanting the shrug ever since it came out earlier this summer but didn’t buy it the first time I saw it because I kept saying to myself, “What would I wear with it”. Then when I went in last month not only was it marked down from $18 to $12, but Dots also had the matching skirt for only $3. But I ended getting the skirt for free with the b1g1 free deal. So as I was getting dressed this morning I was thinking, “What would really make this outfit pop?”. It then hit me, a wide belt and a collar necklace. So I grabbed the studded belt that came with my IGIGI dress and added a statement necklace to it. For some reason I felt like a matador once I got dressed, but in a good way though, and therefore couldn’t get Madonna’s song, “Take a Bow”, outta my head. Hence that’s where the title of this post came from, lol
