OOTD: “Flower Power”
Today I took a spur of the moment day-trip to Williamsburg, VA. They have such great shopping outlets and historic sights to see. While out and about I stopped at a spot that was part residential and part mall and took a few pics in the park. It was such a beautiful day out today that I decided to wear an outfit featuring the new floral print trend. It’s the tube floral skirt from Yoek, €105.00. I’ve featured the Yoek brand before on my blog here. The skirt is very comfy and can be worn high-waisted or flapped over at the waist area too. But it does run full so go down a size. The colors are so vibrant in the flower print so I chose to bring out the pink and orange hues by adding fuchsia pumps, an orange belt and a pink tote by Nicole Lee, $68.95. If you know my blog then you know that I have a love for Nicole Lee bags. They are so unique with their designs and always on trend. This one is a faux croco and leather tote with stud accents. The bag actually has a floral embroidery on it too. While I was shopping I even had a lady stop me to compliment my bag. She thought it was hundreds of dollars. I quickly gave her the website info and she was thrilled.
I have been iffy on trying the floral trend but I decided a couple of weeks ago to venture out and try it. This spring I want to switch-a-roo my style a bit. I think that this skirt would also look good with this ASOS Peplum Top In Stripe. That’s if you’re into the mixed print trend which I’m interested in trying very soon. But today I just kept it simple in a turquoise shell and black cardigan both by Chinoo Designs.

I love the skirt. The colors are bold but subtle. Spring is on the way inspite of it being 40 degrees in my area today.
