OOTD: “Alphabets and Blocks”
Today was ‘Family & Friends Day’ at church and they say come as you are. I wanted to be comfy and still dress up a little none the less. I guess I’m just old school like that and can’t see myself wearing jeans to an actual church service. Anyway, the closing song was “I’ll Fly Away” and you know whatever song you hear last stays on your mind the rest of the day. So as I was driving home I was singing to myself and had the idea to go to the airport to watch the planes take off since I was singing about flying. My son was all for it too so we made a pit stop.
We decided to grab a bite to eat at the restaurant there and I snapped a few pics while we waited. In keeping up with my black and white fashion wardrobe, I re-wore this Letter Skirt by Yoek, €44.50 and paired it with this Check Print Peplum Top by Asos CURVE, $25.46. Now I’m a little on the fence with this overall outfit as I’m still leary of mixing prints but I had to make a run for it this morning as to get a good seat at church so I didn’t have time to rethink my choice. But I did grab this Batwing Fringe Cardigan, Now $10 by City Chic and black Charlotte Russe pumps and a black and white stretch bracelet from Charming Charlie. To cinch the waist I just grabbed this mirror belt from another dress that I recieved from Posh Shoppe. I suppose I should have labeled this “Flight Fancy” but being as though I didn’t actually fly out anywhere, I’ll save that for another day.
The different prints work and what a lovely way to spend the day, watching planes take off and land.
