The B-Styles Curvy Girl of the Day: “Colleen ‘Short Curvy and Fierce’ Stovall”

I know that its been ages since I featured a Curvy Girl of the Day but while at Full Figured Fashion Week™ I was smitten by one petite model in particular and that was Colleen Stovall. Colleen showed and proved to the audience that petite plus-models CAN dominate the runway just the same as anyone else. Many times models get discouraged by being under the 5’5 height bracket but Mrs. Stovall served the runway. Although the average American women is 5’4” you don’t see many models in the fashion industry to represent that. Colleen Stovall set out to change that. The petite plus model has been breaking barriers one gig at a time. She has also been seen on the runway at shows such as The Philadelphia Collection and New Jersey Fashion Week. Colleen has worked with brands such as Sean Anthony Designs, Chinoo Designs, and BellaNOR Boutique.

In addition to modeling, Colleen is also a blogger. On her blog, shortcurvyfierce.com, she shares her journey with the world; along with other events and fashion trends today’s full figured fashionista is dying to know about. Changing the face of beauty isn’t easy, but she is definitely the one to try. Colleen even partners up every October with Domonique Revere-Lincoln to present the Curvy Closets fashion show in Philadelphia. This runway show and cocktail reception, being held this year on Saturday, October 12th, is becoming a legendary annual fashion craze in the Philadelphia area.
