Grab Her Style: “Evelyn Lozada’s Printed Blue Suit On Basketball Wives”
Early this morning I was catching up on my DVR’d shows and while watching “Basketball Wives” I couldn’t help but catch this outfit that Evelyn wore to the grand-opening of Tasha’s Weave Bar. Evelyn was wearing a Rachel Zoe blue printed shirt and pants set and I said to myself, “I just saw a similar outfit recently”. Then it hit me, yesterday plus-size designer Monif C. released her newest ‘Wear to Work’ collection entitled “Well Suited” and in it consisted of a printed blue suit. Now we all know that the Rachel Zoe line, except for QVC, doesn’t come in larger sizes, plus it’s sold out now anyway, and it retailed for $250 for the shirt and $295 for the pants. But the Monif C. suit, available in sizes 1X-3X, is only $165 for the “VANESSA” SHAWL COLLAR LEOPARD BLAZER and $92 for the “VANESSA” TUXEDO STRIPE LEOPARD PANT. What a deal and for a quality brand that caters to the curves, is right on trend along with the straight-size designers and still has us looking good in the boardroom…or weave bar in Evelyn’s case.
