OOTD: “Snow Day”

Pucci Moon Boots Collage

When the snow first started here on the east coast a few days ago, I saw celebrity stylist, Susan Moses, post a pair of Dior moon boots on her Facebook page. That reminded me that I had a similar pair by designer Emilio Pucci that I’ve only worn maybe once. I purchased them back in 2005 from Saks Fifth Avenue when they were on sale for $105. They retailed for around $300 I believe. But I never got the chance to REALLY wear them out and about because for one, Richmond wasn’t ready for this type of fashion back then and two, I don’t recall having a major snow storm like this in a while. Then again, I had totally forgotten about these boots until Susan made that post. When I had to grab them today I literally went in the wayyyy back of the closet.

The boots are very comfy on but do weigh you down a bit much as you really have to lift your feet from the ground when walking. I’m not even gonna front, I mostly liked them for the stylish flair and when I spotted Mariah Carey in her Dior pair back in the day, that totally sold me. I see why they’re called ‘moon boots’ instead of regular ‘snow boots’. These have a really thick sole on them. Nonetheless I like mine regardless if they’re hideous to my RVA folk. I am Bella ‘Styles’ afterall, hahaha.
