OOTD: “Lucite and Houndstooth”
If you haven’t noticed already, I have an obsession with the houndstooth print. I’ve also been lusting for this TRULY WOW HOUNDSTOOTH ILLUSION DRESS ($105) from Simply Be for a while. The dress retails for $105 and I was delighted when Simply Be sent it to me for review. The stretch ponte fabric is quite comfortable on and the PU accent on the neck and waistline give it that extra umphh. In keeping up with the houndstooth theme I even wore matching sheer tights ($18.95) that I got last year from Lane Bryant. (You know, printed hosiery is the way to go nowadays).
But I wanted an odd pop of color to go with my black and white today and so therefore I chose orange. Mainly because I had just received this Lucite Evening Clutch that I ordered from Macy’s last week. (It was on sale for $35 then but now is back to the original price of $55). Lucite clutches are another big trend this year as I will showcase later in this post. The one I’m wearing comes in various colors too at a fraction of the price of the designer ones.To bring it all together I also wore an orange bracelet and bold statement necklace that I got from Lane Bryant this past summer. I noticed that I have worn a lot of red, white and black lately in my blogs, but this post just goes to show how you can switch black & white up a bit with other pops of color as well.
