OOTD: “Tropical Delight”

I arrived in NYC early yesterday morning to attend the Just My Size Birthday Party/Breakfast. It was part of the events going on all week for Full Figured Fashion Week® (FFFWeek). Although I’m sad to say that this is the final year for FFFWeek, I’m happy to announce that I’m one of this year’s special invited VIP Blogger’s. So with that said, I have quite a few event coverage and outfit posts coming up.  

First up being this side ruffle tropical halter maxi dress ($65) that I wore from Chic and Curvy Boutique. Since my room wasn’t ready when I arrived, I had to make a quick change in the ladies room and this was a comfortable choice to swap into on the go. (TMI I know, lol). The ruching detail in the front and back of the dress hides flaw areas so you can go without a shaper if you like. But I do suggest a strapless bra since this is a halter style dress. I added a denim cardi and then went to my fave jewelry store in NYC, Earrings Plaza, and found some matching earrings to add to the dress. (Good thing they open at 8am). One thing my NYC girls have taught me over the years is that flats are the way to go.  With that said, I wore these Zana Sandals from Jessica London and a green Kate Spade Bag (not shown in pics).
