The Curvy Look For Less: “Stella McCartney’s Lucia Dress”

Back in 2011 designer Stella McCartney came out with the dress of the year, the $2,155 “Lucia dress” as it was called. It came in various styles but it basically consisted of a black dress with sheer polka-dot sleeves and inserts. I have posted on a few look-a-likes to this style before but I believe I now may have found a dead-on ringer in plus-sizes for it. It’s from Chic and Curvy Boutique and is called the Bodycon with Mesh Detailed Sides and Solid Silhouette. Now this particular style comes up to a size 3X and is only $48 compared to the over $2,000 designer one. Plus, this style is also offered in red and purple as well.

Now if you really want to up the anty, then go for the longer version style which is only $52. I actually have this one myself and now that the weather is permitting, I can pull it out of the closet for a special occasion. The only thing I suggest with these styled dresses are perhaps a strapless bra or those nipple covers and a black thong as not much else can be worn with this dress.
