Exclusive Glamour x Lane Bryant Clothing Collection Debuting this Fall
Goodmorning all, I just got a hold of some great plus-size news.
Lane Bryant, the nation’s leading women’s specialty size apparel brand, is joining forces with Glamour, a top women’s fashion media brand, for a long-term partnership comprising of in-store, digital, print, and an exclusive Glamour x Lane Bryant clothing collection due in stores this fall. The partnership, which incorporates the body-positive mantra of Lane Bryant’s 2016 spring campaign This Body, is a first for both brands, and will bring Glamour’s editorial fashion expertise directly into Lane Bryant stores nationwide.
“We love how Glamour has embraced the mantra of This Body, as the campaign is designed to be relatable for ALL women, not just Lane Bryant clients. We want her to recognize and embrace her own strengths and flaws as unique parts of herself that make her who she is, and to give her confidence,” said Lane Bryant CEO and President Linda Heasley. “To have a partnership that allows our brand to continue to make waves in the fashion industry by breaking traditional conceptions of what is considered sexy or beautiful is incredibly exciting.”
Lane Bryant will present Glamour’s two plus-size-specific Special Interest Publications this spring and fall. The spring SIP, “Chic at Every Size”, is on national newsstands now. Imagery from the This Body campaign is seen within its pages, as is current trends and fashion from Lane Bryant. Additionally, This Body campaign ads shot by famed photographer Cass Bird can be seen in the pages of Glamour’s April and May issues.
In the fall, Lane Bryant will unveil the Glamour x Lane Bryant clothing collection under exclusive license. A collaborative effort, Glamour’s fashion editors will work with Lane Bryant’s internal design team to create a fashion-forward collection that will be available in stores and online.
“Glamour is thrilled to collaborate with Lane Bryant on this multidimensional program,” said Connie Anne Phillips, Publisher and Chief Revenue Officer of Glamour. “It’s the perfect way to continue Glamour’s mission of helping the modern American woman conquer her world with confidence and style.”
On Glamour.com, Lane Bryant will premiere a three-part video series about “How to Wear Everything You’ve Been Told Not To” and aggregate content featuring the This Body campaign.
Other elements of the partnership include “Styled By Glamour” in-store vignettes. Store associates have been provided with everyday-chic styling tips from Glamour editors to outfit Lane Bryant clients in the latest trends.
