The Look For Less: “The Cage Trend”
If you haven’t noticed by now I like to dress edgy. I sometimes give my smaller counterparts a run for their money. I mean I don’t let having extra “curves” hold me back from expressing my style. You just have to know how to pull it off. (I’ve said this before and I can’t stress it enough, but I’m a fan of wearing proper “foundations” under your clothing. That makes a hell of a difference ladies). Anyway, I have been admiring this style for a while now and I figured I’d finally do a post on it. Spring 2009 YSL came out with the cage boot at a ticket price of over $1,400. This style is only a “trend” so I personally wouldn’t spend an arm & leg on it but I will buy a reasonable piece just to stay fashionable. I recently purchased something from this trend, which I will do a OOTD post on later, but for now check out some of the cage trends that I like and see how you can get the look for much less than what celebs are paying:
(Above) Rihanna in a “Funktional” cage dress $98 www.oaknyc.com
Asos Cage Dress $37 Sizes 8-16 UK www.asos.com
Christian Louboutin Coussin Caged Ankle Boots $1,595 Sizes 5.5-12 www.saksfifthavenue.com
YSL Cage Boots $1,400
Cage Boot from Rainbow $29.99 www.rainbowshops.com
I’m still learning from you, as I’m trying to reach my goals. I definitely liked reading all that is posted on your site.Keep the tips coming. I liked it!

I have been looking at that ASOS cage dress for so long. Plus, I have seen shoes like that too. I am going to have to think about this outfit for a photo shoot. Of course, Bella Styles will be styling me!!!
