The Plus Academy VIRGINIA: Day 1 “The Business of Modeling” (Fall 2010)

Today was the first day of classes for the Fall session of  The Plus Academy VIRGINIA. Today’s topic was “The Business of Modeling” and the class was instructed by Ms. Linda Scott of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Ms. Scott owns “LS1426” which is a plus-size modeling consulting firm in Florida and she taught the participants all the “ins  and outs” of getting started in this business. The girls learned how to present themselves on go-sees, how to wear their hair and make-up, the proper way your portfolio should look and of course we did runway lessons. Photographer Kermit Gresham was even on hand with his team and we had an impromptu photo shoot outside on location. By the end of class, I could see the confidence and encouragement that the ladies had just from this first class.
