OOTD: “The NaKIMuli Dookie Dress”

Ok, for my final outfit change of the day yesterday I decided on a dress from Brooklyn based designer Tennille McMillan of NaKIMuli. I’ve worn her designs before, “Designer Spotlight”-NaKIMuli, so I already knew it would be a great fit. I’m attracted to this line because of the uniqueness of each piece. NaKIMuli mixes African prints with unique designs to pull together a really eclectic look. I’ve been watching this dress since its debut last year but kept putting off getting it. But when I found out that I would be hosting a fashion show I knew that I wanted this to be one of my ensembles. I quickly called Tennille personally and asked could she have one made for me asap and she came thru for me with no hesitations. So I ended the fashion show with this number. It’s called the “dookie” dress. This dress is one shoulder with the other side being a large chain design. I quickly found out that you can wear this dress different ways so I wore it backwards and pulled the chain across my right shoulder. I paired it with these sheer booties with little studs on them for that edgy type of feel. See here:
