Designer Spotlight: “More To Love Designs by Neva Marie-Smith”
Yesterday while fiddling around on Facebook I discovered a very intriguing plus-size designer named Neva Marie Smith. I happened to see a mutual friend post pics of herself during a recent photoshoot in Neva’s designs and I was instantly star-struck. Although the professional pics from that photoshoot won’t be available until a few more weeks I had to give my readers the heads up on this hot new talented designer. Neva Marie Smith studied Fashion Design & Cosmetology in Los Angeles, California. Creating her own brand of fashions that are bold, bright and fun, she designs custom plus-size clothing, for the full figured, curvy woman.
This designer uses attractive bold colors, prints and styles, together with the best quality fabrics, to create a unique look for each individual client, which is upscale, sophisticated, sexy and affordable. Whether her design is day or evening wear, Neva endeavors to create a look that makes women feel comfortable, confident and love their curves.
Also an accomplished hairstylist with fifteen years of experience, she helps African American women embrace their natural hair textures with regal styles that compliment authentic hair textures.
The Neva-Marie brand includes a collection of hairstyles, handbags, and the signature fashion line “More to Love Designs by Neva”. She helps her clients create a complete look from head to toe.
Ms. Neva has been acknowledged as an upcoming Entrepreneur in “LA Watts Times”, featured in “Black Hair”, “Hype Hair”, “Los Angeles Black Expo Newsletter” and “Dysonna” Magazine.
Continuing to master her craft, she teaches private & group sewing classes throughout the city of L.A and she is currently being recognized by Los Angeles Public Library for her voluntary sewing clinic and resides in Los Angeles, California with her son Ahmad.
