OOTD/The Look For Less: “Kelly Rowland’s Grammy Dress”

Yes, I’m doing a double edition of Outfit of the Day post today because I’ve really been on my “Looks for Less” mission in my last few blogs and I couldn’t be happier about that. Many times I hear plus-size women complain that they can’t find fashionable clothing or wear what celebs or smaller fashionistas do. Well that’s not totally the case anymore. Although I know that most top designer fashion houses don’t cater to sizes over a 16 that doesn’t stop us curvy gals from still achieving those trendy, pricey, designer looks all the same. Take Kelly Rowland’s gown by Georges Chakra that she wore to the Grammy Awards. I don’t even wanna imagine the price but boy oh boy was she smoking hot in it. Last week I even posted a Look for Less Blog with a few similar options of Kelly’s dress. Today I’m wearing one of those picks. It’s the Turtleneck Mesh Cut Out Maxi Tank Dress from Posh Shoppe. The dress is only $40.99 and comes in sizes 1X-3X. Now being that it is made for the plus-size woman it isn’t quite as revealing all-over as the Georges Chakra gown but I think that this is the most flesh and skin that I’ve ever showed here on my blog, lol.

If you’re planning on going out to a party or just wanna be the center of attention, say at your birthday party, then this is the dress for you. This is super sexy. The person I had taking the pics was almost like I can’t do this, rofl. The dress is a sleek and simple turtleneck tank dress with a slight mermaid skirt that makes a solid foundation for all the stunning details. Cut out mesh panels (there are four in all) run from the low hip down to the hem, creating a curve-accentuating silhouette. I was skeptical on what kind of undergarment to wear for fear that it would show but my one-piece body shaper worked just fine. I just had to hike it up a bit on the sides so that it wouldn’t show. Whooohhh chile, Momma close your eyes at this one, lol
