OOTD: “Bumble Bee”
First off let me just say to please excuse the poor quality and lack of multiple pics of this outfit that I’m wearing today. I had to attend a program at my son’s school this morning and once that was over I had to jerk him outta class for a minute and have him take a quick pic before I left. (Don’t judge me). Anyway I’m wearing the Yellow, White & Black Body Con Dress from Chic and Curvy Boutique ($39, Sizes 1X-3X). While I absolutely love the color scheme, fit and material of this dress it was the hardest thing for me to style it this morning. Maybe because I was rushing. I wanted to throw in some red but I didn’t have plain red pumps or a plain red belt. (Must add that to shopping list ASAP). So I kept it basic with just a black and white belt and shoes and bracelet of that same color-scheme. I did however manage to find some yellow earrings in my jewelry box.
The dress is made up of the color-blocking trend and if you look at the pic above on the mannequin, the back of the dress is all yellow while the front has all three colors on it. So hot. I should have worn flesh-tone hosiery too but just like my red accessories, I didn’t have them on hand this morning. So I settled for off-black hose, shame on me. (I just couldn’t get right this morning, lol). But I really like this dress and how it clings to the body, but in a good way, so I maybe doing a retake in this one sometime soon. Let me just get my ideas, and wardrobe necessities stocked up, and dress it up really nice for you all on a second-take 🙂

That dress looks great on you…the mannequin not so much. I love the shoes and earrings that you chose too. It doesn’t really need red shoes…It’s a standout dress on it’s own.

The color looks great on you. I love the striped heels. You get two thumbs up and one great toe.
Ms. Bella:
No one would know that you had a difficult time this morning because you look very nice in this lovely dress. Once again you put it all together and it worked. I bet your son was very proud of his Mom.
