OOTD: “Dinner On The Canal”

Canal 3 Collage

Tonight I went out to dinner in the Shockoe Bottom area of Richmond. It’s right by the river and there’s a canal walk down there too. So of course I had to take pics by such a pretty scenario, well minus the muddy water today. For dinner I wore a Black Body-Conscious Dress With Mesh Cold Shoulder by Asos, $46.55 that’s kinda similar to the one I wore out last week here. Only difference is that the dress that I’m wearing today has sheer sleeves on it. You just have to be careful putting it on as not to rip the mesh or get deodorant all over it such as I did. (That’s another story, lol). The dress fit ok but being as though the sleeves are sheer you can’t wear a full one-piece shaper but instead have to do a strapless style shaper. My only downfall was I had to keep tugging at the bodyshaper all night. But overall this is a pretty good LBD to have in your closet as a “freakum dress”.

Now as far as my shoes go, it’s been weeks that I’ve been waiting to pull these babies out. I didn’t really have anything else red to wear with this dress but I just wanted to wear these pumps so bad I said what the hell, wear them anyway. These pumps are called the Minnelli Pumps by Madonna for Truth or Dare from Macy’s, $98. Now I lucked out and got them on a one-day sale for much less but they retail for $140. As I’ve mentioned before I didn’t own red pumps and although these aren’t for everyday wear, I was drawn to them for the spike details.  The pumps have like a gold glitter sheen on them and the spikes are set in all gold. Just be careful ladies, the pumps are very comfortable to wear but can be also used as  weapons if needed if  your date night doesn’t go right, hahaha.
