OOTD: “The Lane Bryant Fashion Style Off”

So I’ve got great news everyone, I’ve been accepted as one of the bloggers for the Lane Bryant Blogger/Stylist Conference at FULL FIGURED FASHION WEEK® 2013. I posted on FFFWEEK® not to long ago and all that it details. Well as part of the Lane Bryant conference, bloggers are also participating in the ‘Fashion Style Off’. Dig this, Lane Bryant sent me a $200 gift card to purchase the items that I would style my outfit with. Better yet, I was able to take advantage of their buy one/get one free sale last week with the gift card. I loaded up on goodies from their website. My outfit that I chose for the style off is this pretty Navy Blue Lace Peplum Dress. The official name of the color on the website is ‘peacoat’ but it’s basically navy to me. It has a baby-blue lining underneath with a zipper in the back. Last week when I purchased the dress online it was $79.95 and I got another dress for free, which I will probably wear during the blogger conference, but now the peplum dress is on sale for only $59.99. The dress is made of cotton/nylon and is a little short so I would suggest ordering a size up. The sizing goes from a 14-28.

I figured with such a rich shade of blue why not make it pop with a bright hue of orange or red. Therefore I opted for this statement Hot Coral Shaker Necklace ($70). I also ordered the identical bracelet to match the necklace but was informed after I placed my order that it had sold out :(. No worries though, I just substituted with one of my own bracelets and added a red skinny belt to the dress to accentuate the waistline. Now if you’re wondering why I mixed red and orange, well the necklace is classified as coral but upon closer inspection I realized that it indeed had red beads on it too. Which was perfect since my clutch and pumps both had a mixture of navy, red and orange.
