OOTD: “Carnival Day”

Today I did the “mommy” thing and attended the carnival that’s in town with the little one. Now I had no intentions of getting on any rides I just wanted him to have fun….oh, and I had to get me an elephant ear, haha. That’s why I chose this dress for such a warm day. I’m wearing the Kiss Me Skater Dress by City Chic, which seems to be sold out now, but there are many others choices here on the City Chic website. I ordered it two-weeks ago from the sale section for only $30. I don’t think that I’ve ever worn a skater dress before, if I did I can’t remember, but I will say while although they are very comfy, ladies be sure to wear a pair of biker shorts or something underneath, especially on a windy day such as today. (I gave a couple of the ride attendants a thrill and I’m not talking about the rides, wink). I ordered the dress because it was in the color of the year, emerald. The dress came with a black skinny belt but I wanted color so I added an orange skinny belt from Dots instead and also a Dots bracelet. The necklace is from Simply Fashions and I matched it all to my multi-colored  Betsey Johnson phone purse. I kept it simple today for walking so no heels for my swollen feet, just the Missoni ballerinas that I got from Target last year.
