OOTD: “Military Glam Jumpsuits”
This past Saturday I was a panelist for the Bowie, MD Plus Night Out Model Search at Ashley Stewart. My original plan was to change clothes after the event when we went out to dinner. But it was soooooo hot on Saturday I couldn’t fathom the energy to do so. But my second outfit of that day was supposed to be this Tan Military Jumpsuit by Ashley Stewart, $59.50. I didn’t want a good outfit choice to go to waste so I’m showcasing it today instead. During the model call I actually styled one of the model hopefuls in this exact same jumpsuit for her to try-out in. (Tip: When casting for a particular clothing line as a model, it would be wise to actually wear that brand to the casting so that the panelists can actually see how that brand of clothes fits on you. More casting tips HERE). Anyway, this jumpsuit is the most sought after outfit from the newest Ashley Stewart collection called, “Military Glam”. (It also comes in green as shown below). Now I will suggest going up a size in this due to the rayon/polyester material and be sure to really iron it thoroughly before wearing because it does wrinkle fast, as you can see in my pics. I always like adding a fancy belt to my jumpsuits when possible and I wanted a color to really coincide with the tan. So I paired up this burgundy belt, $16.50 by Ashley Stewart, and jewelry in the same color tone also by Ashley Stewart. (Available in-store only). The elastic gathering at the bottom of the jumpsuit allows for your shoes to show-up really well, therefore I went with these color-block wedge sandals from Dots Fashions.

Another Ashley Stewart jumpsuit that I just had to share was this navy blue one with the gold necklace closure. (Sorry I didn’t show the necklace portion). Now this one isn’t on the website yet but is available in stores, ($49.50). I’m not exactly 100% sure that this is from the Military Glam collection but I was drawn to it for the simplicity of the color. Navy is such a rich color that I kept my shoes neutral and just re-wore the same burgundy jewelry from the other jumpsuit above. But, I just had to add my other new Hello Kitty Top-Handle Satchel, $68, from Macy’s. It matched perfect to the navy blue jumpsuit and tan shoes.
