OOTD: “A Novella Kinda Day”

First off let me just apologize for my absence over the past couple of weeks. My 94-year old grandmother had taken ill and between daily hospital visits, dealing with a personal loss and working on another CBS project, I was all over the place. But I’m back today and it felt great to finally fix-up a little and be fashionable again. A few weeks ago I posted a pic on my Instagram of a Wendy Williams wig that I was sent to review. I finally got a chance to try it out today since I took out my sew-in last week. Yes, talk-show host Wendy Williams will be debuting her new hair line Wendy Williams Hair World very soon. (I’m assuming when her new season starts on September 16th). I already posted on the collection here. The collection is available now  online at Especially Yours. When the Especially Yours company contacted me for a review, I chose the style of the Wendy Williams Everyday Wig, regular $99 now on sale for $79. I’m wearing the color of R1B16. I chose this color because the roots are black and then it blends into a pretty golden blonde color. The packaging of the product is superb. It arrives in a leopard printed box with tissue paper that has Wendy’s name monogrammed all over it. The wig comes long but I got it cut into a bob style. Now I will say that the hair is very soft and thin and although it states that it can be heated, my curls didn’t quite hold tightly so I decided to wear it straight. Well, in this pic I curled one side to show how that would look but then kept the other side straight. I would suggest maybe rodding it up at night with flexi-curlers and place the wig on a wig stand to see if that’ll work for holding a tighter curl. I’m gonna try that out myself. Just wanted to give you a glimpse of my new do.
