OOTD: “Boom, Boom, Boom”

This morning the newest designer collabo with Target hit the web and stores and me like many other fashionistas were right there at the crack of dawn to open the store. It is the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Collection that I posted on last week during New York Fashion Week. Luckily I went to a Target location where there was no line outside wrapped around the corner, as it was at a few according to Instagram, and I got first dibs on the selection. Most of the collection had already sold out online after midnight. But I grabbed the Boom Print French Terry Sweatshirt ($29.99) and the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target® Tote with Gusset – Black ($54.99). Now the apparel does not come in plus-sizes but I stepped out on a limb and tried on a size XL since many other plus-size bloggers often say that straight-size clothing works for them. Surprisingly it fit me and I’m a full size 18/20 but I just wouldn’t suggest drying it after you wash it but instead hang drying it.

I wore the sweatshirt three different ways, first with a faux-leather peplum skirt from Rainbow ($14.99) and red spiked pumps by Madonna Truth or Dare, then with a pair of black and white panel trousers by Simply Be ($29.00) and red suede pumps by Kate Young (also for Target) and then lastly with an Asos diamond print pencil skirt. I mostly wanted this sweatshirt because of the comic print trend that is hot right now and I also wanted to wear it as a mixed print trend ensemble too.
