OOTD: “Business Lady”

So yesterday I received a package in the mail and as always, I was thrilled. The Monif C. company had gifted me one of their newest dresses. Every season I post on Monif’s newest collections and each season they get more and more exquisite. The dress I received is called the DOMINIQUE” COLORBLOCK COLD SHOULDER DRESS ($178.00). The dress is magenta and black, but also comes in Cobalt and Black, and is made of a polyester and lycra blend. I had a business meeting yesterday evening anyway so this dress arrived at the perfect time. I quickly went through my wardrobe and found the perfect shoes to match the dress. I came across a pair of black pumps with magenta, animal print and teal in them. I paired up the pumps with my bag of the moment, the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target® Tote with Gusset ($54.99), then to show versatility, swapped out the black bag and pumps for a leopard pair. Yes, you can wear animal prints with bold colors such as magenta. 

The dress has cutouts in the shoulders and an exposed back zipper that makes this dress a twist on a classic shape. I would recommend going a size up and since it is sort of a bodycon dress, be sure to wear a shaper underneath for a smooth effect. But the best part is the sexy sheer mesh insert right in the middle of the front bustline of the dress. You can take care of business, be stylish and trendy, but yet keep it classy all at the same time. (Note, you can also add a blazer as I did later in the night, not shown, and turn this into sorta a power suit)
