OOTD: “Russian Navy”
Today’s post is entirely inspired by one of my favorite nail polish colors, Russian Navy by OPI. I’ve actually been wearing it for the past two weeks and purchased it a few years ago from ULTA. Although I’m not actually showing my (chipped) nails in these pics today it was good to be able to finally match an outfit to the nail polish for a change. Navy is such a rich color that signifies ‘royalty’ but is often overlooked in the fashion world. It is so hard to find navy shoes, dresses or handbags. But in the latest collection from designer IGIGI called ‘Discovering Fall 2013’ they have incorporated the most beautiful navy coat in that line. It is the Hanna Coat ($275) and it comes in sizes 12-28. It is fully made of wool, that was imported from Italy, and can be dressed casually or for business.
In keeping up with the navy hue I added the Karina Wide Leg Pants in Navy ($82) with the Condessa Top in Floral ($72). When wearing business wear, such as slacks, you can never go wrong with a wide leg pair. These have a contoured waist tab and front tailored pockets. The pants come in single sizes and I would suggest going a size up to avoid any snugness in the crotch area. The Condessa Top has hints of navy, silver and black in it with a neat little knotted front accent on the lower right side of the top. Why I paired this outfit all together was not only for the nail polish, but the way that the top matched the gorgeous printed charmeuse lining inside the Hanna coat. Check it out…
