OOTD: “A Burgundy Christmas”

Talk about perfect timing. Just as I was about to write this blog post I received an email alert from Chic and Curvy Boutique about their 12 days of Christmas sale. Let me tell you, you won’t be disappointed. I received so many compliments in this dress today and it gives an extra boost of confidence to an already confident curvy woman. The faux leather clung in all the right places but wasn’t too hot on and the fit of this dress is made for a plus-size woman. Peplum is an already forgiving style of clothing and by adding a gold accent belt and matching jewelry, that was the finishing touch. Well almost.

You see recently blogger beauty Naturally Fashionable posted about a pair of wide-calf over-the-knee boots and I checked them out. As I read the comments I see that I am not alone in finding OTK boots that fit me comfortably too. But although she was wearing the black pair, the burgundy pair caught my eye and so I ordered them. I’m so glad that Naturally Fashionable posted on these as I will definitely be ordering all colors now. The boots are not only fashionable and fit over my legs but I actually could wear them for a few hours without complaining about sore feet.

It wasn’t my original plan to wear the dress and boots together, as I ordered them at separate times without thinking of pairing them as an outfit. But it was quite chilly out today and I figured that although I was wearing hosiery I didn’t want my legs all out by just wearing pumps. So there you have it, a monochromatic burgundy look that’s perfect for a Christmas gathering!
