OOTD: “Red Chevron”

For a double-dose Outfit of the Day I’m wearing the new trend of the “chevron” print. Chevron is basically zig-zag prints on an item. I got first dibs on this red and black zigzag print skirt ($42) from Chic and Curvy Boutique. This is what you would call a maxi-skirt as it is very long. To add contrast to the skirt I wore a (Louis Vuitton inspired) check print dress under neath as a top. (I wore this dress before HERE). Black and white has been very popular the past few years and mixing prints is a fave trend of mine that I’m still getting the hang of. I did both trends with this chevron print and broke up the skirt and top (dress) by adding a belt in most of the pics above but then took the belt off also to show how it looks plain. The skirt is high waisted so if you opt  to wear a belt with it, just  flip down the waist-band once so that it won’t show.
