OOTD/Grab Her Style: “Red Carpet Ready”

Tonight’s outfit post has been a long time coming. I’ve had this dress in my closet for almost 2-years and never wore it until today. After church today I attended the Tyler Perry stageplay “Hell Hath No Fury Like a Woman Scorned”. Us ladies always show up and show out for anything Tyler Perry related. Although Tyler wasn’t there himself tonight, as he’s in LA for the Oscars, it was an all-star cast nonetheless. So since its awards season, and Oscar night, I decided to bring out my ‘red-carpet’ worthy gown for the event. I say that because I’m wearing the Betsy & Adam Embellished Cutout Long Jersey Dress ($184) that has been worn by celebs and everyday women quite often over the last year. (I got mine from Macy’s but it is now sold-out there). My facebook friend Monica Ware wore hers to a recent event and singer Anita Baker and Charlie Wilson’s wife both wore this exact same dress in January to the Grammy Awards. I previously blogged on it HERE as a look for less to Phaedra Parks $3,295 Donna Karan gown that she wore to the RHOA reunion. Check out how similar it is but for thousands of dollars less.

As you can see in my pics the cutouts in both the front and back are Asymmetrical and a simple strapless bra or full bodyshaper will work underneath as to not show any straps. The right shoulder has a rhinestone embellishment on it so I added matching earrings and bracelet as my accessories. My silver pumps are another pair from my recent haul at Payless and are called the Kasino Pointed Toe Pump by Christian Siriano ($26.99, Sizes 5-13)
