OOTD: “Fashion Week Inspiration”
During Fashion Week last month I took notice of an upcoming color pattern trend: blue, white and black colorblocking. Even Rihanna was seen rocking designer Alexander Wang’s latest sneaker bag in that color trend. Coincidentally, before fashion week, Ashley Stewart had offered me an outfit of my choice to do a review on and I just so happened to pick a dress in that colorblocking palette even before the shows hit the runway.
Today I’m wearing the Exclusive Peplum Dress in Sodalite ($49.50). The dress goes from a size 12-26 and as I always say peplum is a curvy girls best friend. I paired the dress with black and white accessories such as a stretch bracelet (Charming Charlie), necklace (Ashley Stewart), minaudiere clutch (Macy’s) and cutout heeled booties from Torrid. I ordered these heels back in February and am just wearing them for the first time today. I did a post on them here as they are a great look-a-like pair for the $500+ Gianvito Rossi heels. But thanks to me being a bargain shopper, I found them for less than $35 during one of Torrid’s super sales. To add more black to the outfit, I went for Ashley Stewart’s Pleather Shrug ($49.50). For additional inspiration of this new color combo, take a look at some of the images from Fashion Week below on the runways of top designers:
