Curvy Event Alert: “New York Fashion Week Plus”
On September 9-13, 2015 NYFW Plus will make its debut during the most talked about fashion week in the world breaking barriers while taking the fashion community by storm! With a week-long series of fashion presentations-the week will be held at exclusive venues throughout NYC. Each fashion presentation will showcase Spring/Summer 2016 collections, highlighting the world’s most contemporary plus-size designers- with feature designers from Australia, Canada, and United States. Bicoastal Management, is a sponsored partner and model agency for NYFW Plus’ entire week of scheduled events. With seven presentations on the NYFW Plus schedule, the week’s events also includes a special presentation by Eleven60, designed by Kierra Sheard, Gospel Singer and Actress. Eleven60 is a collection of classic and refreshing looks for the professional curvy woman that is chic, sexy, bold and eclectic. In addition to fashion presentations, NYFW Plus is bringing a unique shopping experience with Häus of Hauties, a specialty shop lounge featuring NYFW PLUS designers and other specialty goods from participating vendors. NYFW Plus was founded by Selina Weekes and Brandee Joyner as a platform for independent plus-size designers to gain exposure amongst plus-size buyers, celebrity stylists, and fashion editors. NYFW Plus celebrates plus-size fashion achievements in the fashion community and believes that this week is key to the lifelong success and empowerment of plus-size fashion.
