OOTD: “Chic and Curvy Boutique for CBS”
As some may have already seen on my Facebook page, last week I shot another segment for CBS “Virginia This Morning”. It was a “Back to School” themed fashion segment and it will air next week. I styled myself, 4 kids and Manaya, who served as both my makeup artist and model that day. She and I both wore apparel courtesy of Chic and Curvy Boutique. For my outfit I went with the long black dress with side pockets ($68) and I styled Manaya in the black bodycon dress with fringed sleeves ($52).
For TV I didn’t want anything with cleavage showing so my dress was perfect. I simply added a bold necklace and bracelet to accessorize it and Manaya’s fringe dress spoke for itself. Although it was a back to school segment I just had to feature some of the upcoming Fall trends and fringe is set to be one of the top styles for the season.
I really liked my dress for the fact that I could discreetly store my note cards in the pockets. Plus the color black is always a winner for TV. But I really loved the fringe detailing on Manaya’s dress too. As you see in the pics below as she spreads her arms, the fringe detailing is a show-stopper. The fringe is also on the back of the dress as well.
P.S. My second choice option for styling Manaya was the black sleeveless bodycon with neck tie ($45) (seen below). Although we went with the fringe dress, here are the pics below of how this one looks on.
