OOTD: 4th of July Style

I know I was a little “over” dressed for the 4th of July but I was hosting a party and wanted to be appropiate. Plus I had been waiting to pull these pumps outta the closet for awhile. I saw this shirt a few months ago and said to myself, ” I have to have this to do an event but how will I pull it off?”. I must have done something right because not to brag, but I got compliments all day on this ensemble hook-up. I’ve had this grey pencil skirt for over a year and have only worn it once I think and since grey’s the new black, I figured that’s the way to go. Here’s the breakdown:
