The 2010 Tropical Divas “Sex and the City” Fashion Show

Wow, Im so hyped right now. I just left the “Tropical Divas, Sex and the City” Fashion Show here in Richmond and it was full of so much energy. Commentator Stanley Byrd, of Raleigh, NC, did an awesome job MC’n the show. He got everybody worked up and into the groove. I mean I’m usually a laid back person but I was interactive in the show, yes I walked the runway a little during the “Stiletto Competition”. But I had to be coaxed into it by Tiffany Jones of “Mo’Nique’s Fat Chance, so she walked with me. I was in the VIP section so we were treated with wine and gift bags for our attendance. Now I’m not a drinker, at all, so that one glass got to me. I was dancing and some other stuff that I don’t remember but I’m sure will show up on someone’s YouTube soon, lol. The show started with a couple of musical selections from Eliah Keaton of Charlotte, NC. I tell you what, when his CD comes out I’m definately getting it. His voice is tranquilizing and reminds you of a mixture of  Will Downing and Raheem DeVaughn. Once the actual fashion show started we were treated with the honor of seeing professional plus-size model, Sunni Diggs of Maryland. You may remember Sunni from the Tyra Bank’s “Thick & Sexy” episode and from The Dr. Phil Show. The fashions were young and hip and very summery. The audience was serenaded from evening wear by Igigi, men in skimpy speedos to curvy ladies rockin sexy lingerie from Empress. Other fashions included The Avenue, Debra Rae’s Boutique, Ashley Stewart & Dee’s Couture. Well enough of me talking let’s see some pics…..(these pics here are from my personal camera but once photographer Jamaal Mayes of Maz Imageworks post his, I’ll have better quality pics…….
