Designer Spotlight: “The Wole’ Designs Spring/Summer 2013 Resort Collection.”
Remember when you were a kid that feeling you got when your parents would get you your favorite candy while in the store? That’s how excited I get when I come across new designers, especially ones who cater to curves. Today I’m sharing with you all a plus-size designer company by the name of Wole’ LLC. Wole’ (pronouned Woah – Lay) is all about simple, effortless, comfortable and classic design that transcends modern day fads. Owner Nicole Clark says, “My designs are tailor made for the chic, elegant, sophisticated curvy and voluptuous modern woman. Not only do I strive to create innovative and fashion forward pieces, but I personally make sure that that they are timeless, can easily be mixed and matched, and never loose their flavor from season to season. My vision for Wole’ is to make every other fashion platform take their lead from the plus-size industry on what is the new and acceptable form of beauty because standing out doesn’t mean that you still cant fit in”.
I first checked out the Wole’ line last season when the Vikki Green Envy Dress ($179) came out. I was like whoahhh that’s hot. Now for the new spring collection Nicole has done it again. I’m talking about white jumpsuits with low-cut backs, sequins skirts and the on-trend print of floral wrap dresses. (And we all know that a wrap dress does wonders for the curvy body).
