OOTD: “I Get It From My Grandma”
Let me just start off by saying that this has been a busy, hectic week for me . I never knew so much went into planning a funeral. But I am very pleased with the outcome and my Grandmother looked really great. Being the fashionista that I am, I suggested the dress, that matched the casket, that matched the hearse. (#DontJudgeMe, it was beautiful). Actually, truth be told, I got my fashion sense from her and then my mother. So I feel that she deserved to go home to glory in style. I didn’t really have time to take a lot of outfit pics this week but I did try my best to keep you all updated on the fashion week stuff though. (Blogging kept my mind ocupied a little in my down time). For the Wake I wore this new dress from Igigi called the Aileen. (For the record, all black at funerals is long gone). I actually was supposed to wear it to Plus Night Out in NYC tomorrow but of course I had to change my plans due to my grandmother passing. I was mostly all packed and ready to go since 2-weeks ago but right now family comes first.
The dress is a mixture of black, white and turquoise but of course I added more color with yellow pumps and belt. My bag is by the Carlos Santana company and is called the Twist Again Foldover Tote. It is a large double-handled satchel that has a top designer look but only runs you around $75.00 at Macy’s. As you can tell, I changed the hair again too. This is called the Casual Lace Front Curl Wig from NOW™ by Sherri Shepherd™. Yes, comedian and “The View” host Sherri Shepherd has a wig line now also. The wig comes with full-soft curls but be careful when cutting the lace on the front. You don’t wanna look ‘too wiggy’ when wearing a lace-front especially in a mixed color like I have on. (Once again, excuse the quality of the pics. This time I was rushing since so many people were around)
