OOTD: “11-12-13 Transformation Tuesday”

Did anybody else realize that today is 11-12-13? Wow, that was amazing to me. So when once in a lifetime events happen like today’s date, I like to go along with the flow. And I did just that. I went all out and cut my hair all the way down. Just two- weeks ago I did a little transformation by getting a new bob cut, but today I took it down even further. You see after a while all of the wigs and weaves can damage your ‘real’ hair and thanks to my wonderful stylist, Shakeita of Im-Ij Group/Replica of Im-Ij, we decided it was best for me to get a haircut and start all over again with a healthy head of hair. (Not to say that you won’t see a slight clip-in here or there, lol). I’m calling today “Transformation Tuesday” for me. After all, it’s just hair. How does the saying go now, “Short Hair, Don’t Care”. 

Anyway as part of my new hairdo I wanted an outfit to go with it. Therefore I pulled out the latest from Chic and Curvy Boutique. I’m wearing the Liquid Long-Sleeve Dress with Front Ruffle in Black ($42, Sizes 1X-3X). This dress has a very slimming effect I think and it fits the body just right. The faux-leather wasn’t clingy or hot while on. I added rhinestone jewelry pieces, a red clutch and these dynamite shoes I picked up this weekend at Citi Trends. Now I love a good deal and these were too good to be true. If you remember last year for New York Fashion Week I wore a very similar pair of red flame pumps that cost me well over $100. I was shocked to not only find my size in Citi Trends but a price tag of only $29.99. That’s right, I shop everywhere from the low to the high end spots. As a stylist I have to always keep my fashion options open.
