OOTD: “Animal Print Blocking”

Asos Zebra Dress Collage

I’ve been beating myself up the past week that I had to cancel my trip to New York Fashion Week last week. I was all set to go and then I watched Al Roker’s weather forecast and according to him the Northeast was supposed to get swamped with snow during that time. Being better safe than sorry I just didn’t bother with the traveling because I know first hand that flights get cancelled and then you’re stuck wherever you are. I went last February to day one and attended the Tadashi Shoji show but barely made it out of New York because the snow storm came fast and rapid. So therefore I couldn’t wear some of my fab outfits that I had put together beforehand.

One being this ASOS CURVE Exclusive Body-Conscious Dress With Animal Print Blocking ($51.85) and ASOS CURVE Exclusive Premium Leather Biker Jacket ($222.23) that they so graciously sent me for the trip. So I decided to wear it last night for a dinner and a movie outting.  Asos makes such great bodycon dresses because the stretch jersey fabric that they use runs full. You could almost go a size down in this but since I overstuffed myself during the holidays, I felt I needed a little more material in the stomach area. Now on the website the dress looks knee-length but when you put it on it actually comes well below the knees. So my original wedge ankle boots that I had planned to wear with it didn’t work out to well so I changed up at the last minute for these high-heeled like shoe-boots. (Similar pair HERE). We still have snow here, as you can kinda see in the pics, so it was extremely cold. Therefore I wore Just My Size Seasonless Tights and minimal jewelry in yellow and studs for an added pop of color.
