OOTD: “Her Fifties Style”

Today’s outfit post has literally been hanging on my review rack for almost 3 months waiting for the weather to finally break to wear it. I even packed it in my suitcase recently for my 2 trips that I took and still couldn’t pull it out until today. I almost entitled this post “April Fools Fashion” because the weather has been joking with me so much over the past few weeks. One day it’s snowy & cold the next day its kinda warm. Well it finally got to the high 60’s today and I couldn’t resist wearing this dress. It is the “Her Fifties Colorblock Dress” by eShakti ($89.95). I just love a dress with a sweetheart neckline and pockets on both sides.  It reminded me of something that I would have probably seen on “I Love Lucy”. The cool thing about ordering from eShakti is that you can have the clothing tailor made just for your body shape by submitting your measurements in your order. I however was hard headed and didn’t do that and ordered just my regular size and should have gone a size up. I was able to pull the dress over my head though once I realized that I wasn’t gonna be able to zip the side zipper while it was on me.

Of course black and white is the number one color trend of the moment and no I didn’t stray away from the horizontal stripes either. But to  also incorporate a mixed prints trend, I added a floral clutch and coordinating floral ankle strap pumps. (These are the same pumps I blogged on as a look for less to Steve Madden). I also wore a floral statement necklace and earring set that I scored in NYC last week for only $8.99 at my fave jewelry store, Earrings Plaza. I wore a hat because the wind was blowing so and I wanted to keep my tresses in place for these pics. To add a little more definition to the dress and cinch the waistline, I added a fuchsia toned skinny belt.
