“How To Transition Your Maxi Dresses From the Summer to the Fall Season”

Today I want to share with you all some style tips that I have been thinking about all week. As I was scouring through my maxi dresses earlier in the week I realized that I don’t want to put them away for the Fall season. I must admit, they’re my go-to outfit in the Spring/Summer seasons. I just throw on one of my everyday maxi’s, which happen to be from the Miss Tina collection, and a pair of flip-flops or sandals and I’m on my way. Even if I’m doing an ‘Outfit of the Day’ post on another item, I sometimes switch into a maxi once I’m done taking those pics for that particular post. But to transition a maxi into the Fall season I would suggest first of all wearing one that is made of a little thicker quality material, or add a long slip underneath it if the maxi isn’t lined already. So with that said, here are a few ways and tips to carry the maxi dress over into the Fall season:

– Add a denim jacket or denim shirt

Top it off with a chunky sweater

– Wear it with a pair of cute boots or hot pumps

– Pair up with a great scarf

– Accessorize with a statement necklace

– Throw on a long-sleeved shirt over top of the maxi dress

– Accentuate your maxi dress with a wide belt (Maybe wear the belt over the long-sleeved shirt)

– Wear with a blazer or leather motorcycle jacket

(Below) Some of my fave Maxi Dresses in my closet already that I plan to wear with one of the transition styles that I mentioned above:

Here are some maxi dresses that were seen on the streets this past week on fashionistas attending the shows during New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center. Love how these ladies transitioned them for Fall:
