OOTD: “Tropical Paradise”

I recently had the UK company called  Lovedrobe to contact me about collaborating. I was already familiar with them since another UK website also sells their clothing. But I always enjoy working with a brand that I actually like. And I admired the fact that they shipped my item and personalized it in a tissue-wrapped package with my name on it and even some star confetti with it. Love that detailing. For my review item I chose this KOKO ANIMAL INSPRIRED MULTI COLOUR MAXI DRESS. It is priced at £40.00 which equals around $60 in US funds. Even on the website I was smitten by the bright-bold tropical colors in the print and in person I wasn’t disappointed either. The dress is made of a jersey material and I can easily see me wearing this on the regular during these hot summer months. In UK sizing you must go up 2 sizes, so if you wear a size 16 in US sizing, order a size 20 in a UK style. This dress is free-flowing and has a keyhole front and back opening with an elasticated collar detail. With that being so, you must wear a strapless bra with this particular style dress. 

To coordinate with the animal print and bold coloring in the dress, I added a wide orange belt and a bright green ostrich Kate Spade bag, worn before here and here. I grabbed this Straw Fedora, $22, from Aldo while out at the mall yesterday.  I had to buy a mens hat because they always run fuller and allow for me to have the ‘extra hair’ under it. (Style Tip: To avoid sweat and/or makeup on your hats, wear a wig cap over your hair under the hat). I kept the shoes flat and simple by wearing sandals from the Prabal Gurung collabo from Target earlier this year.
